Charles Mastroni is a lifelong learner who brings both practical experience and spiritual insight to his writing and preaching. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, he began a fifteen-year career working in global sourcing and purchasing, during which he also earned an MBA from Western Connecticut State University. Earlier in his career, he was a self-employed tradesman and foreman in construction—work that taught him the value of integrity, diligence and building on a solid foundation.
In 1989, after leaving behind the turbulence of the 1970s, Charlie turned to God in search of meaning and found the life-changing faith that now shapes his worldview. He continues to study Scripture and deepen his faith. Charlie previously attended classes at Reformed Theological Seminary and now teaches and preaches regularly in his local church, where he also serves as deacon emeritus.
Charlie lives in Connecticut and remains close with his two grown children. When he’s not studying or writing, he enjoys following his favorite sports—especially American football, basketball and baseball—and reflecting on the ways faith brings meaning and purpose to everyday life. Why Not God? grew out of his desire to help others find clarity and hope through an honest exploration of belief.
